About US
LEO Executive Wedding Planner and Owner, Heather Pasko, motivated by her own wedding and reception that went awry with disappointing services that she received from local vendors, wanted to help prevent this from happening to other unsuspecting brides. From wilted flowers to poor quality catering, Heather experienced the "dark side" of the wedding industry. Determinded after her wedding to help other misguided brides, she changed career paths from family counseling to bridal consulting. She then got her certification as a Professional Event Planner through an intense two year program. This aided her in the launching of Lovely Events & Occasions a full service wedding and event planning business. She has been empowering bridal couples to make educated choices in the Berks County and surrounding areas since the start of her business in 2000. Since that time, she has successfully merged her special events and hospitality experience with her design and management skills to createsensational, emotional, and unforgettable weddings and special events. In April 2010 Heather opened Lovely Events & Occasions, Design Gallery, West Reading location. Knowing that brides are planning weddings year round, and not just January - March when most bridal shows take place, she launched the 1st year round bridal show in Berks County. This unique concept features 40 vendors in one location, plus monthly FREE bridal events, making planning a wedding not only easy, but also affordable. Heather has been featured in numerous publications from Berks County Living to The Knot Magizine as well as helping local media with event planning stories. With Heather's eye for design, Lovely Events & Occasions is on the cutting edge of event planning with innovative, unique and stylish events.
LEO Production Manager, Steffany Minotto, has worked with Lovely Events and Occasions for two years. She began her career here with the hands-on experience of playing some of Disney’s princesses. Her knowledge of the behind-the-scenes activity of Lovely Events and Occasions gives Steffany the ability to manage our companies productions intuitively and effectively.Steffany is no stranger to productions in other areas. She has competed in fine arts competitions and has sung with various concert choirs ranging from a select ensemble to a background choir for Michael W. Smith. Steffany is a life-long resident of Reading, PA, and it is this knowledge of the area coupled with her retail experience and artistic ability that make her such an asset as our Production Manager.

careers Internships/Apprenticeships Lovely Events & Occasions was the first coordination firm in the Berks County area to accept interns. We receive approximately 3-4 requests for internships each week due to the increased popularity of the field. This industry has become highly saturated and, in turn, an extremely competitive market in recent years. It is increasingly difficult to get into the industry, and experience is imperative. The fact that you are doing your research tells me that you are moving in the right general direction.InternshipsThe internship program at Lovely Events & Occasions lasts one year; the internship positions are unpaid, but they are very flexible in regards to scheduling. We choose from the hundreds of applicants to schedule interviews for these positions as they come available. Our internship program is difficult to enter due to the high volume of applicants, but the experience is unparalleled. You will be involved in as many events throughout the year as your schedule allows, and you will experience the same level of exposure to event planning and coordination as an assistant coordinator for each of the events.A certificate will be awarded upon internship completion, and a letter of recommendation will be available.To apply, please fill out the form on the contact page.ApprenticeshipsIf your interest and drive to enter the event planning industry exceeds your patience for an opportunity as an intern, we offer apprenticeship positions on a first come first served basis. We only accept one Apprentice per event, and our apprenticeship program will involve the complete planning, staging, event design and production of one wedding or event. The schedule is flexible in that you are able to choose which two event dates work best for you, but meetings and appointments with clients are dependent upon the clients' schedules. Apprentices will attend the final planning meeting with the clients, be involved in the compilation of itineraries and emergency contact lists, rehearsals, and day of coordination for each of the two events that they choose. You will also be involved in as many events throughout the year as your schedule allows, and you will experience the same level of exposure to event planning and coordination as an assistant coordinator for each of the events. There is a long list of other duties and knowledge that you will experience and learn first hand throughout each of those phases of planning.A certificate will be awarded upon apprenticeship completion, and the use of approved media may be included in your portfolio.Apprenticeship program cost - $1,200 (Installment payments available upon request)
